Todos Santos Retreat Digest (11/13/25)

Another week spent in the laid-back beauty of our Todos Santos retreats, where time flows as gently as the Pacific waves washing the shores of Punta Lobos. The weather has been playing its usual game, transitioning from “just right” to “I could get used to this”. The heat of the day mellows out by the time evening rolls in, making the evenings on Calle Benito Juárez a pleasant affair.

Wandering through the cultural center, I couldn’t help but notice a quiet art opening taking place. A subtle celebration of local talent with folks gathering around, appreciating the expressions of creativity. It’s these small happenings that keep the spirit of Todos Santos alive.

Meanwhile, the market is in its full swing with the produce standing out vibrant and ripe. The shift in weather has brought about an exciting change in the local harvest. The bounty of the season is here, and it’s a colorful sight to behold.

Not far from here, the story of the earth breathes through the work of conservation-driven folks at CONANP (The National Commission of Natural Protected Areas). Their tireless efforts to protect the biodiversity of Baja California Sur, against the pressure of mining operations, are commendable. It’s in these subtle battles that the essence of Todos Santos stands strong – a town that values its natural wonders over fleeting gains.

On the nature front, the sea turtles continue their timeless dance of life. It’s a spectacle that never gets old, the mystery of their life cycle adding an intriguing layer to the overall charm of this place. The sea, too, has its own tales to narrate. Free diving enthusiasts speak of their experiences as spiritual journeys, a testament to the awe-inspiring depths of the Pacific.

Music is a constant companion in the air of Todos Santos, with local artists gracing the scene with their performances. Whether it’s a sunset cheers at Las Tinajas vineyard or a heartfelt adios concert at La Morena, the tunes wafting through the air add a rhythm to our town’s existence.

As my week wraps up, I find myself looking forward to what the next one might bring. Perhaps a hike in the nearby Pescadero, or a quiet day by the lagoon at La Poza. Maybe the weather will shift again, bringing with it a new set of experiences, a different hue to the everyday life here. But for now, as another week ends in our Todos Santos retreat, it’s just another day in paradise.
